The Parts screen records details relating to the parts database, this can include the cost of the part, any uplift to be included and if reselling parts a minimum selling price with an indicated target selling price. Stock levels are recorded by each individual batch, a stock report can be produced, usage display against works orders, manual entry of stock and minimum, replenish and maximum stock quantities.
Part No/Issue – insert the part reference and issue number, please note the issue number will activate the stock levels displayed within works orders and quotations
Drawing/Issue – insert the drawing and issue number relevant to this part
Description – description of the part; it is recommended when creating any database a common format is adopted for ease of information retrieval and unnecessary duplications
Active – tick box to indicate the part is active
Specification – insert a common specification for this part
Category – parts can be assigned a category for searching/reporting purposes, this is setup within Tools – Setup – Options/Checks – Material/Parts – Stock Category Maintenance. Refer to Navigation – Setup – Options/Checks
Form – this is the form the parts are purchased in, use the drop down to select a record
