Navigate to Data⇒Organisation⇒Customer to open the list of existing customers
Locate the customer you wish to amend, using the Search function if required. Double click or click the edit icon to open the customer record.
Click on the Change Customer Name button and a popup box will open. Enter the customer’s new name and click on Save. All paperwork relating to existing sales orders will retain the original customer name and all orders received after the name change with have the new customer name.
NOTE – All traceability is maintained, and reports can be run that span the name change, as all customers are linked to a unique customer ID that does not change even when the customer’s name does.
If the name already exists, a warning message will prompt you to enter a different name.
